Elevator Pitch No. 3
A reflection on the feedback you received from your last pitch: The feedback I got on the first one was basically to have more emotion and create a hook in the beginning to get people interested. I didn't get much feedback on the second one but I definitely took the feedback from the first one into account while doing this one. What did you change, based on the feedback? When I recorded the first and second ones I was reading from a rough script so I could easily remember what I wanted to say. I also had to stop and rerecord a few times because I messed up. But this time, I had it mostly memorized and I didn't need a script at all. I also only needed to record it once, unlike the other times. Also, I added an opening hook which neither of my previous ones had and I, again, tried to show some more emotion to keep the audience interested and sell them on my idea. Overall, I was definitely more comfortable doing this one than I was doing the first two.
Hi, Emily! I like that you're trying to eliminate the middle man and that your app would sift through a million food photos for ones that only have a certain number of likes. I think that would definitely help narrow down a potential customer's options. And I hope I am not out of line in giving a few critiques to your elevator pitch but I think more emotion (just seem a little more excited :) ), enunciation, inflection, and including a fun intro to draw the audience in would really benefit this presentation a lot! You were very professional and clear in your idea, however, which is really great!
ReplyDeleteHey Emily, at first i'm not going to lie I was not too on board with this idea. However, after watching the video I really like it. I like that I will be able to find a restaurant and reviews and photos and what not in one simple place. I actually need this more in life now than ever. Gainesville is a hard area to find good food in and this app would be my saving grace.
ReplyDeleteHey Emily, I thought your points on your app were nicely organized for a short elevator pitch. Like Rana states I think you needed a little more emotion and a way to connect with people. You seemed to be very composed while talking about your product and the overall feel of the video was professional. I would love for this app to be made.
